Dr. Micheal B. Johnson attended Brigham Young University where he received his Bachelors degree. He then continued his medical training at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville Missouri after which he completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Christiana Care Health Services in Newark Delaware. Dr. Johnson then moved to Mountain Home Idaho where he was the Chief of Radiology at Mountain Home Air Force Base for approximately three years. After this time in the Air Force Dr. Johnson recognized the need for outpatient imaging in the western side of the Treasure Valley and helped start the Imaging Center of Idaho in 2007 as an owner and Medical Director.
Dr. Chris Malcom has joined the Imaging Center and Vein Centers of Idaho in 2014 after completing his fellowship in Body MR and Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona. Dr. Malcom was born and raised in Idaho Falls where he graduated from Skyline High School. He studied Exercise Science at Brigham Young University and completed medical school at Western University of Health Sciences. Following medical school, he returned to Idaho and completed a 1 year internship at the Boise VA Medical Center. His radiology residency training was performed at the University of Kansas where he was chief resident. Dr. Malcom and his wife Trini are busy raising four boys; They are excited to be back home where they can enjoy the beautiful Idaho outdoors.
Dr. John Gambino attended The State University of New York at Binghamton, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology. He then attended the Graduate School of the City University of New York where he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy while majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology. Dr. Gambino then did a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship with the Department of Pharmacology at Rutgers Medical School. Dr. Gambino graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Rutgers Medical School in 1988. He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Bethesda Naval Hospital National Naval Medical Center. Dr. Gambino completed his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and became a member of the American Board of Radiology in June of 1993. For 17 years Dr. Gambino served as a Medical Officer in the United States Naval Reserve.
Dr. Robert T Yeager attended the University of Montana where he received his Bachelor & Master of Science degrees. He then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine where he graduated in June 1988. Dr. Yeager completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. From July of 1993 to June of 1994 Dr. Yeager completed a fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. Dr. Yeager has been certified with the American Board of Radiology and active since 1994.
Dr. Michael C. Biddulph completed a BS in Zoology at Brigham Young University, where he graduated as vValedictorian and Summa Cum Laude. He continued on to complete medical school at the University of Utah. Following graduation, Dr Biddulph completed a residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology and a teaching appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale as a Senior Associate Consultant in Radiology.
Dr. Dirk E. Bigler attended Brigham Young University and received his Undergraduate Degree from University of Utah. He studied medicine at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri and completed an internship and residency at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Washington. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Digital Imaging in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. James P. Edlin completed a Bachelors of Science at Manakato State University. He received his Doctorate from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. Dr. Edlin then went on to complete a residency at the University of Iowa in Nuclear Medicine and a residency at the Bridgeport Hospital of Bridgeport, CT in Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Edlin also completed a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at the Yale University Hospital in New Haven, CT. Dr. Edlin has dual board certifications in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Edlin specializes in Nuclear Medicine, General Radiology, and Breast Imaging.
Dr. David V. Hansen received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Utah. He completed a residency in Family Practice at the Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Washington. He served well as Chief Resident in both of his residencies. Dr. Hansen retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel 1, in November 1998.
Dr. Christopher O. Harker specializes in Neuroradiology. He received his Bachelor’s degree at University of Utah, in Human Development and Family Studies. Dr. Harker earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Virginia, and completed his residency at University of Utah in Radiology. Recently, Dr. Harker completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology.
Dr. James B. Harris graduated with highest honors from Ricks College and as an elected member to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society from Brigham Young University. He finished his first fellowship at Duke University and continued on to receive his Medical Doctorate from University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Harris completed an internship at LDS Hospital then returned to the University of Washington to complete a residency and second fellowship. Upon completion, he was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Instructor of Radiology and Acting Instructor of Radiology at the University of Washington.
Dr. Justin A. Lamb attended Brigham Young University and graduated with his Medical Doctorate from Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed an internship at the University North Texas in Fort Worth, a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at John Peter Smith Health Network, and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Texas in Dallas. He has served the Idaho medical community since 2007.
Dr. James P. Neeley graduated from Utah State University, Magna Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering and went on to obtain his Medical Doctorate from The University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at Washington University, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Richard M. Penney received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from La Sierra University in Riverside, CA. He completed his Medical Doctorate at Loma Linda University and internship in General Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He did his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the John H Stroger, Jr. Hospital in Chicago, IL and finished his fellowship at the Dotter Interventional Institute in Portland, OR.
Dr. J. Fritz Schmutz completed his Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Utah and later received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Utah Medical School. After medical school he completed a rotational internship at the Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He then went on to complete a residency in Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology from the prestigious University of Washington.
Dr. Steven D. Smith completed his Bachelor's in Microbiology at Brigham Young University. He earned his Medical Doctorate from the Uniformed Services University Medical School in Bethesda, MD. He also completed an internship at the Oakland Naval Hospital and residency at the San Diego Naval Hospital. Achieving the rank of Commander in the United States Navy, he served honorably for 17 years before leaving for private practice. Dr. Smith specializes in General Radiology and Breast Imaging.
Dr. John J. Strobel grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. He received his Associate's Degree at Ricks College and graduated with his Bachelors of Science and Medical Doctorate from Creighton University. While attending Creighton, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After completing his education, Dr. Strobel did residencies in Internal Medicine at Creighton University and Diagnostic Radiology at University of Nebraska. As a strong leader, Dr. Strobel served as Chief Resident during his residency at University of Nebraska. He has been affiliated with Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Dr. Strobel specializes in Interventional Radiology.
Dr. James W. Taylor completed degrees at Ricks College and Utah State University in Biology, he received his Doctorate from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed an internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Sacred Heart Medical Center of Spokane, WA. Taylor then went on to complete a fellowship in Neuroradiology with Inland Imaging Associates of Spokane, WA. Dr. Taylor specializes in Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Peter L. Vance graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and received his Medical Doctorate from Wake Forest University Bowman Grey School of Medicine. Dr. Vance completed an internship at York Hospital in York, PA and a residency in Charlottesville, VA at the University of Virginia Hospitals. He went on to complete a fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison training in Musculoskeletal Radiology. Dr. Vance specializes in Musculoskeletal Radiology.
Dr. David R. Warden III completed his Bachelor's in Computer Science at Brigham Young University. He then went on to complete his Medical Doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) School of Medicine. Dr. Warden then completed an internship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and later completed his residency at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Radiology where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Warden achieved the rank of Major with the United States Army and served honorably during Desert Storm and Desert Shield with the 82nd Airborne Division. Dr. Warden specializes in General Radiology and Breast Imaging as well as being a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.
Dr. Alan B. Wray studied premed at Brigham Young University. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Wray headed for Nebraska to attend Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Maricopa General County Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. His residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Creighton University School of Medicine shortly followed. In 1986, Dr. Wray completed a fellowship at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic studying CT, Ultrasound, and Magnetic Resonance. Dr. Wray is a member of the first and oldest radiology society in the US, the American Roentgen Ray Society, as well as the American College of Radiology. Dr. Wray specializes in diagnostic radiology.
